Model Martini is a blueprint to the vast and ever growing world of cocktails. The standard bar of vodka and gin is quickly going the way of record players and 8-tracks, being replaced with the notion that a cocktail can be as intriguing to the palate as any culinary dish. Stealing herbs, fruits, even vegetables from the kitchen and bringing them to the forefront is where we have progressed in this new wave of mixing spirits. Model Martini makes the complexities much more attainable to the “home-bartender.” Bringing you parties, lessons, tips and tricks to better create your own concoctions; whether you wish to pursue a job in the restaurant/bar business or simply play bartender at home, Model Martini can make it happen.
The Model Martini Party in a Glass is a menu of soirees that brings the bar to you. Captivated by the new trends in “mixology”, hosting a party, or simply tired of the bar scene, these parties are a way to mix up some of your own fun. Play bartender for an evening by learning how to make shots and drinks, then wow your friends by showing off your new tricks at future gatherings. You’ll be the life of parties to come!
Choose from a list of pre-themed parties or custom create your menu.
….bring May Flowers
Hopefully by now, the clouds have cleared, the sun is shining and spring is in full bloom. Nothing brightens up a room like a fresh cut bouquet of flowers. Long stem roses, lilacs, pinks and yellows on tall green stems placed in a round vase filled with clear water you could almost drink. If only you could, you’d be taking in all of the brightness and life of spring in one sip.
Well drape your linens on the kitchen table, set your vase in the middle, then create a bouquet of Martinis! Floral liqueurs that are as fresh as the flowers you pick from your front yard. St-Germain, made from elderflower, is a sweet, almost syrupy liqueur that you can add to any simple drink to give it a whole new taste. Tom Collins? A classic. Add a splash of St. Germaine and experience a whole new cocktail. Chartreuse, “Liqueur of Health”, comes in the original Green, or sweeter and more mild Yellow. Both liqueurs are made of natural herbs and botanicals, no preservatives, no artificial dyes. Fresh out of the ground flavors with little need for tampering to extract the best possible taste. Or how about rose water? Not a spirit, but just a drop of this potent ingredient mixed with a smooth vodka, shaken up with ice, and you have the chill of early spring mornings in a glass.
Mother’s Day is this month. Most moms enjoy a bouquet of flowers on their day, but this year, try something new. Give her a rose or two, then mix her up a few flowery spring cocktails. I’m sure as much as she loves you, she’ll love to sip on her new Mother’s Day Martini.
Mix all ingredients in shaker with ice, stir and strain into martini glass. Serve up with fresh mint garnish
Pour St. Germain, vodka, lemon and lime juice and peach puree into shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly and strain into glass filled with ice. Top off with club soda and garnish with lemon and lime wedge
Dissolve 2 tablespoons of sugar into 1/2 cup of water to make simple syrup. Use to sweeten up cocktails, iced teas, lemonade, etc.
Rose water is a very potent ingredient, and a small amount can go a long way. I’d suggest pouring your rose water from the small bottle it comes in, into a plastic spray bottle. Spritz your martini glass just enough to coat it, and it will give your martini all the rose flavor it needs.
Mix vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup in shaker with ice. Shake and strain into martini glass coated in rose water. Garnish with a pink rose petal
